In an interview with Player’s Forum, Georgian football star Kvaratskhelia expressed his desire to win the European Championship, stating that having such dreams is crucial.
As reported by Portugal’s Record:
Dreams don’t come with a tax – at least not yet! Well, Georgia’s star man Kvaratskhelia admits he’s a dreamer… a big one, in fact! The 23-year-old left-winger believes Tuesday’s clash against Turkey in Dortmund could be the first step towards a Berlin final. Speaking to Player’s Forum, he confidently outlined his national team’s ambitions for this EURO tournament.
Addressing the possibility of Georgia winning the EURO, he said, “Yes, we have a chance. Why not? We’ll face Turkey, Czech Republic, and Portugal. Will it be tough? Obviously! Difficult? You bet! Ask any Georgian, and they’d say the same. This is our way, our first time here, and we believe we can bring great joy to people.”
In their second group match, Georgia will take on the group favorites, Portugal. When asked if he would ask Ronaldo for his jersey, he replied, “Would I ask for his shirt? Maybe! He’s my idol, and I’d tell him so.”
Amid recent transfer rumors, Kvaratskhelia also took the opportunity to affirm his loyalty to Napoli. “My father took me to Napoli because he admired Maradona. I’m thrilled to play for the club where Maradona once worked.”
