Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc recently commented on Max Verstappen’s overtaking move on McLaren driver Lando Norris.
The Monégasque said, “I felt it went beyond the limit, but I also feel that whoever was in his position would have done the same thing because we are fighting for the World Championship. If anyone says that drivers now would do something different, that would be very hypocritical.”
Furthermore, Leclerc added, “It feels like the car isn’t as strong as it was at the beginning of the season. He feels that McLaren is now very strong, and they are all fighting for the Drivers’ Championship, so it’s tough. Sometimes he goes beyond the limit, like he did in Mexico, but again, they are fighting for the World Championship, and it’s understandable. Then it’s up to the FIA to control it, set the boundaries of what is allowed and what is not, and we are working to make it more consistent.”
