July 18: According to multiple journalists, Manchester United are on the verge of signing 18-year-old Lille central defender, Youssouf, for €50 million plus add-ons. This comes after the Red Devils recently acquired forward, Zirkzee, for €40 million. To meet the demands of further reinforcements, Old Trafford may sell players such as McTominay and Wan-Bissaka among others to raise funds.
According to The Sun, Manchester United have just rejected Fulham’s offer for McTominay. Last summer, West Ham United made a £30 million bid for the Scottish midfielder, with sources suggesting Fulham’s offer was lower than this amount.
Given that McTominay has only one year left on his contract at Manchester United, the 27-year-old Scottish midfielder has attracted attention from several clubs. He scored ten goals for United last season. Turkish giants Galatasaray are in discussions regarding a potential transfer for the star player. Club vice president, Ibrahim Khatipoglu, confirmed their talks last week.
Regarding Wan-Bissaka, according to The Mail, West Ham United have made an offer this summer, hoping to acquire the 26-year-old central defender for around £15 million. Currently, the player is valued at only €20 million, a far cry from the £50 million that Manchester United paid for him.
