Originally, disabled parking spaces at the Etihad Stadium were completely free. However, in July, Manchester City issued a notice to start charging for these spaces, effective from the 2024-2025 season. The club’s reasoning was that approximately 50% of reserved spaces went unused last season, and the solution to this issue was to abolish the free system and introduce charges.

This move by Manchester City has sparked outrage, with the Disabled Supporters Association collectively opposing it and criticizing the club on social media as being “all about making money.”
