On October 24, in the men’s 100m breaststroke final at the World Cup Korea Station, Chinese star Qin Haiyang competed from lane six.
At the 25-meter mark, Qin Haiyang was in second place, trailing by 0.08 seconds. At the 50-meter mark, he dropped to third place, falling behind by 0.59 seconds. At the 75-meter mark, he moved back up to second place, trailing by 0.33 seconds. In the final 25 meters, Qin Haiyang was unable to overtake Shymanovich, finishing just 0.12 seconds behind and winning the silver medal in the event.
