Men's 400m Freestyle Final at the World Cup Korea Station: Pan Zhanle Surpasses Three in the Last 50m to Claim Gold

On October 24, in the men’s 400m freestyle final at the World Cup Korea Station, Chinese swimmer Pan Zhanle started from lane two.

After the first 50 meters, Pan Zhanle was temporarily in third place, trailing the leader by 0.5 seconds. At the 100-meter mark, Pan Zhanle dropped to fourth place, with the gap widening to over 1 second. At the 150-meter mark, Pan Zhanle remained in fourth place, with the gap narrowing slightly to 0.99 seconds. By the 200-meter mark, the gap between Pan Zhanle and the leader had further narrowed to 0.6 seconds. At the 250-meter mark, Pan Zhanle’s position remained unchanged, trailing by 0.52 seconds. He continued to hold the fourth position thereafter. In the final 50 meters, Pan Zhanle made a strong surge, moving from fourth to first place and winning the gold medal with a time of 3 minutes and 36.43 seconds.
