On August 22, The Mirror published an article commenting on the GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) results of several English football stars, including Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Maguire, Kane, Rashford, and Saka.
In 2007, Rooney even hired a private tutor to help him pass his GCSE exams, but the specific achievements he attained were not disclosed.
Gerrard, a legendary figure in Liverpool’s history, had relatively average GCSE exam results, achieving 1 C, 6 Ds, and 2 Es compared to his accomplishments on the pitch.
Lampard not only excelled on the field but also proved to be a high achiever academically, scoring As or A** (the highest grade in GCSE) in all twelve subjects he took, particularly standing out in Latin.
Maguire is also a high achiever, earning all As or A*s in his GCSE exams. While Kane’s results have not been revealed, it is known that he passed his exams successfully.
Rashford passed in nine subjects, and notably, he continued his studies even after signing his first contract with Manchester United. Saka also achieved excellent GCSE results, earning 4 A*s and 3 As.
