This summer transfer window, the 22-year-old English center-back Branswick has reportedly been a target for Manchester United, despite the arrival of 18-year-old center-back Yoro. The Red Devils still hold interest in Branswick.

There have also been reports that Branswick had already agreed on personal terms with Manchester United, and if he joined them, his weekly salary would rise from £40,000 to £160,000.

However, Manchester United and Everton have not been able to agree on a transfer fee for the player. Everton is demanding a fee of up to £70 million for Branswick, while Manchester United is only willing to offer £40 million plus add-ons, causing the transfer to stall.

In order to offset the financial loss Branswick would face by not joining Manchester United, Everton is now preparing to offer him a new contract with a significant pay increase, allowing him to remain at “The Toffees” with peace of mind.

In a previous interview, Branswick himself expressed his desire to stay with the club: “I think for any young person, any young player, the most important thing is to play as many games as possible, to gain the experience needed.”
