The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics will commence at 1:30 a.m. on the 27th. According to the latest official information, the participating delegations in the athletes’ parade will enter in alphabetical order by their French names (with some exceptions). The Chinese Olympic Delegation is positioned 41st, with table tennis player Ma Long and synchronized swimming athlete Feng Yu serving as flag bearers.
Additionally, following Olympic tradition, the Greek delegation will enter first, and the host nation, France, will enter last. The Refugee Olympic Team, established for the third time since the Rio 2016 Games, will enter second. The United States, the host of the 2028 Los Angeles Games, will enter second-to-last, while Australia, the host of the 2032 Games in Brisbane, will enter third-to-last.
This opening ceremony marks the first time in history that it is being held in an open space. One of the highlights is the procession of approximately 10,500 athletes along the Seine River, starting from the Pont d’Austerlitz and sailing six kilometers to the Trocadéro Square opposite the Eiffel Tower.
