On July 24, the British Olympic Committee officially announced that diver Daley and rower Glover will serve as flag bearers for the British delegation at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
Daley, aged 30, is participating in his fifth Olympic Games, and he will partner with Noah Williams in the men’s 10-meter synchronized platform diving event.
Helen Glover, aged 28, has represented Britain in rowing competitions at the Summer Olympic Games in 2012, 2016, and 2020, winning two gold medals in the women’s coxless pair event. However, at the Paris Olympics, she will compete in the women’s quadruple sculls event.
