Official announcement:
As part of the review of clubs’ situations for the 2024-2025 season, the Management Committee of Professional Clubs has made the following decision under Article 11 of the DNCG (French Management Control Department) Regulations: The DNCG has taken no measures against Troyes as part of the procedure for returning to Ligue 2, in accordance with Article 520 of the Competition Rules, subject to maintaining professional status as decided by the Board of Directors of the French Professional Football League. Troyes had a poor performance over the past two seasons, dropping directly from Ligue 1 to National. Last season, they finished in 17th place in Ligue 2, leading to relegation to National. Due to Bordeaux’s bankruptcy, Troyes returns to Ligue 2 as the highest-ranked team among those relegated.
Troyes’ response to the decision to return to Ligue 2 is: We are evaluating this decision and are working hard this season to build a team that is ambitious and humble, to represent Troyes and fight for the sustainable future development of the club.
