In the African Madagascar Championship, AS Adema faced SO de l’Emyrne. The away team deliberately lost the game to protest what they perceived as unfair refereeing. The away team players scored 149 own goals, averaging one every 36 seconds. This broke the previous record of the largest scoreline in football, which was 36-0, set in 1885.
