Only the captain can protest to the referee? Van Dijk: It doesn’t make much difference, I’ve always liked shouting at officials anyway

It won’t change much for me because I’m always shouting on the pitch, but I’m glad I’m the captain, otherwise it could have been complicated. Other players now have to be careful, and hopefully we’re smart enough not to get booked,” Van Dijk said. “Sometimes it can take the passion out of the game, of course I understand that having everyone barking at the referee isn’t ideal.”

“I’m not nervous, I’m really looking forward to this match and hope to fight for my country alongside my teammates.”
