Raphinha: I’m Sure Flick Will Fall in Love with Me Soon, Yamal Has an Infinite Future

The Spanish newspaper Marca published an interview with Barcelona star and vice-captain Raphinha. The Brazilian star stated that he is very confident he will soon win the affection of the new coach, and he predicts that Yamal will be one of the best players in football for a long time to come.

Raphinha said, “I’ve said it before, I am very sure that after working with the new coach for just a week, he will start to love me. This has been the case in every club I have played for. Many people said I should leave in the summer? We are public figures, people will do what they want, and we can’t do anything about it because if we do something, it will make everyone frown… but we are human beings, we have feelings! What’s most important is that I came to Barcelona to make history, to win all the possible titles with all my might, and in the dressing room, I always have a strong desire to win.”

Raphinha is one of the captains of Barcelona this season, but the Brazilian says this won’t change much for him: “Because I always try to help everyone. It’s important to make young players feel supported by the older ones, and this is something I have always done. I strive to help everyone. The captain’s armband makes me feel loved, but I have always been doing this.”

Raphinha believes that the team’s improved performance this season is mainly due to increased effort: “Even if the best coach in the world comes, if the players don’t work hard, nothing will be won. Last season’s lack of success has made us start this year with a different mindset. If last year we gave 100%, now we must give 200%.”

Additionally, Raphinha had high praise for his teammate Yamal: “I have no doubt he will go far, he is my boy!
