The first confrontation occurred between Barcelona player Gavi and Real Madrid forward Vinicius. Gavi, who came on as a substitute later in the game, committed a foul against Vinicius, displaying his usual aggression.

Vinicius immediately complained to the referee, hoping for a yellow card warning for Gavi. Initially, it seemed that the matter had been resolved, but as Barcelona secured their victory, an emotionally charged Gavi approached Vinicius again.
