Sir Ratcliffe Jokes About Rain at Old Trafford: Our Stadium Has the Third Highest Waterfall in England

In the past season, Sir Jim Ratcliffe took over Manchester United as its new owner, vowing to help the club regain its former glory through various interviews.

Recently, Sir Ratcliffe commented on Manchester United’s current situation and humorously addressed the rain issue at Old Trafford. He said, “United has fantastic players and a very talented young squad. To be honest, if you look at the transfer market, Real Madrid has seven players valued at over £100 million, while Manchester United doesn’t have any player valued above £70-80 million.”

“What sets Real Madrid apart is their stadium – they invested £900 million to create the world-class Santiago Bernabéu, truly impressive. As for ours, you know, there was a news story that we have the third-highest waterfall in England,” he joked, eliciting laughter from the audience.

Sir Ratcliffe continued, “The reason it’s not getting fixed is that nobody likes losing money. Neither do I; when you invest in something, it depreciates. But I don’t think investing in Manchester United will be a loss, and I’m not looking to sell it. It’s not about making money; it’s about the passion.”
