Sloat: Alisson Close to Return; Good Start to the Season but Not Perfect

At 00:30 on September 29, the sixth round of the Premier League will see Wolves face Liverpool. Before the match, Liverpool manager Sloat attended a press conference.

Sloat said, “I think our start has been good, although the loss to Nottingham Forest was indeed disappointing. Losing at home is always frustrating, especially to a team not competing for the top four. Of course, it’s still unknown what Nottingham Forest will achieve this season.”

“Our playing style is similar to the past nine years, which is good because the squad is also similar to that during Klopp’s era. Perhaps the upcoming matches will become more challenging. It’s a good start, but not perfect.”

“Regarding the futures of Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, and Salah? I can only say that I’m glad these players are still in my team. There are many matches this season, let’s see what the future holds over the next few weeks.”

“Alisson participated in part of our training yesterday, and we hope he can complete the entire session today. We believe he is ready to return. However, I want to emphasize that Kelleher has performed very well in the last two games.”

“Wolves have only managed to secure one point from their first five rounds? I don’t think this reflects their true strength; their schedule has been very tough, you have to take this into account. I’ve watched some of their matches, and they deserve more points than they currently have.”
