The co-owners of Newcastle United, Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, are on the verge of departing from the club.
In 2021, they helped orchestrate the £305 million takeover of Newcastle United by a Saudi Arabian consortium, earning them a 10% stake in the club.
As per the BBC’s understanding, Staveley and Ghodoussi have now sold their remaining shares and will be leaving the club. During their tenure, Staveley and Ghodoussi facilitated the signings of players such as Bruno Guimarães and Kieran Trippier during the first transfer window, contributing to the club’s successful battle against relegation.
