Turin Sport: Manchester United Reconnect with Rabiot’s Camp; Player Seeks €10 Million Annual Salary

According to a report by Turin Sport on July 29, Manchester United have reconnected with Adrien Rabiot, who is currently a free agent, and his camp in hopes of bringing him to the club. The player is reportedly seeking an annual salary of €10 million, and both parties are far from reaching an agreement on personal terms.

As reported, due to the delay in the transfer of Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde, Manchester United has turned its attention to other midfielders available in the market. With the potential departures of Casemiro, Eriksen, and McTominay, the club may be forced to sign more than one midfielder. Given the club’s limited budget and ongoing plans to clear out surplus players, Manchester United will not invest heavily at this time, making the free transfer of Rabiot a reasonable choice.

In fact, since Ten Hag’s arrival at Manchester United, the Frenchman has been a true target for the club, coming close to signing with them over two consecutive summers but never finalizing the deal. According to Turin Sport, Rabiot’s camp is no longer considering offers from Liverpool and is determined to engage in deep negotiations with Manchester United.

Manchester United highly values Rabiot’s abilities, believing that he can provide depth to the midfield and valuable support in attack – Rabiot scored a total of 16 goals in his last two seasons at Juventus. However, there remains a significant difference in the annual salary figures, with Rabiot’s camp demanding an annual salary of €10 million, which is unacceptable for the Ineos Group. Ineos prefers to reach an agreement on a lower wage, but convincing Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique, will be a major challenge.
