In Alonso’s first complete season in charge (23/24 season), Bayer Leverkusen equalled the number of trophies won in the entire previous 119-year history of the club. The team clinched their first Bundesliga title with an undefeated record and also set a record for the longest unbeaten streak by a top European club in the era of European competitions (51 matches).
