Prior to the start of the Premier League season, West Ham United has already made several signings to strengthen its first-team squad, including the acquisition of Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers and the introduction of Foderingham from Sheffield United. Additionally, young Brazilian Guilherme joined from Palmeiras.

However, after deciding not to activate the buyout clause for Phillips, who was on loan from Manchester City, and selling Downs to Southampton, Lopetegui is keen for reinforcements in midfield.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Guido Rodriguez, currently a free agent, is a good option, and West Ham United’s management also wants to explore the possibility of bringing in Geta Tanabu.

It is reported that West Ham United’s owner, Sullivan, wishes to sign an Asian player to expand the team’s influence and commercial development in Asia. Sporting director Stend, who previously worked at Bayer Leverkusen before joining West Ham United, was particularly impressed by Geta Tanabu’s performance during his time at Stuttgart.

However, Liverpool will not easily part with this regular squad player, who made 20 league appearances and scored one goal last season. Despite Geta Tanabu being 31 years old, any offer below the £16 million transfer fee paid when he moved to Liverpool last year will not be accepted.
