US Media: NBA Legend Drexler to Auction Off His 1992 Olympic Gold Medal; Bidding Starts at 0,000

On July 23, US media outlet TMZ reported that NBA legend Clyde Drexler plans to sell the Olympic gold medal he won with the 1992 “Dream Team.”

According to reports, the auction will take place next Monday local time, with a starting bid of $250,000.

The reason for Drexler’s decision to sell the medal is currently unclear. However, in April of this year, he signed an affidavit stating that he has no intention of buying it back in the future and also guaranteed that he would not have a duplicate medal made through the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Auction experts have indicated that this might be the last time a Dream Team gold medal is put up for auction, describing its value as “scarce” to say the least.
