Winning Only Once in Less Than Half a Year, Manager of English League One Team Gets Sacked

On the evening of October 23, League One club Burton Albion issued a statement announcing that manager Mark Robinson had been dismissed, effective immediately.

The 57-year-old Mark Robinson previously held roles as a youth coach, scout, and first-team manager at Wimbledon. He later joined Chelsea to coach the U21 team.

In early June this year, Mark Robinson accepted an invitation from Burton to leave Chelsea and take over as Burton’s manager. However, this job turned into a nightmare for Mark Robinson. In the first 13 matches of the season, he led Burton to a dismal record of 1 win, 4 draws, and 8 losses. In the League One, Burton has not won a single match, with 4 draws and 7 losses, placing them at the bottom of the league table.
