World Sports: Sevilla to Cancel Japan Tour - Originally Scheduled to Play Against Sapporo on Month Day and Tosu on Month Day

July 20, according to reports from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla has cancelled its planned preseason trip to Japan at the end of July. The reason is that one of the two matches scheduled for July 30 against Consadole Sapporo and August 2 against Gamba Tosu could not take place as planned.

The company responsible for arranging Sevilla’s business in Japan is owned by former Barcelona player Andrés Iniesta. This organization was unable to ensure the participation of the opposing teams in the matches, even though Sevilla had already received payment for the friendly games. Due to this unforeseen development, Sevilla may cancel their plans to travel to Japan.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Sevilla might look for opponents in Portugal, where several European teams are currently playing preseason matches. Sevilla will face Sporting CP on Tuesday local time and is scheduled to play against Al-Ittihad, led by Karim Benzema, on the 26th.
