FIM TrialGP World Championship 2024 Kicks Off in Japan

The 2024 season of the FIM TrialGP (FIM Trial World Championships) begins with the opening round in Japan from May 17 to 19, coinciding with the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship.

In the FIM categorization, the Trial discipline features two major world championships: the indoor X-Trial and the outdoor TrialGP. The 2024 TrialGP schedule includes:

1st Round: May 17-19, Japan;

2nd Round: June 7-9, Andorra;

3rd Round: June 14-16, Italy;

4th Round: July 5-7, Germany;

5th Round: July 13-14, Belgium;

6th Round: August 24-25, France;

7th Round: September 13-15, Spain.

Trial Nations (Trial of Nations): September 21-22, Spain.

The regular competition categories in TrialGP include TrialGP (highest level) and Trial 2, with some rounds featuring Trial 3. The Japanese opener will host only TrialGP and Trial 2 classes. Electric vehicles have been allowed in all categories to adapt to technological advancements.

The opening round in Japan saw Spanish riders dominate the top TrialGP class, continuing their decade-long supremacy in the trials discipline. Reigning indoor and outdoor world champion for the past seventeen years, Toni Bou with the #1 bike, claimed victory on the final day. Fellow Spaniard, Adam Raga (#68), secured second place, while Bou’s teammate, Gabriel Marcelli (#38), also from Spain, took third.

In the Trial 2 category on the last day, Jack Peace (#276) from the UK emerged as the winner, while in the women’s division, Emma Bristow (#101) from Britain clinched first place.
