Beijing time on July 7th, Wimbledon has released the groupings for this year’s Ladies’ Legends Doubles event. Chinese tennis star Zheng Jie will team up with former US Open women’s singles runner-up Vinci, both competing in Group B. Zheng won the women’s doubles title at Wimbledon in 2006 and reached the singles semifinals in 2008 as a wildcard entrant. This marks Zheng’s first appearance in a Grand Slam Legends event.
Ladies’ Legends Doubles Draw:
As shown in a video Zheng posted on her social media today, she is currently at the All England Lawn Tennis Club preparing for the tournament. She wrote, “After nine years, I’m back on this familiar grass court. Time to rediscover the feeling of playing on grass.”
